EDUCATION & ENRICHMENT

Our aim is to support all East View Housing residents to reach their full potential, which includes offering educational and employment opportunities as well as many different enrichment activities.

Through working together with local colleges, education organisations and with enrichment activities, we aim to provide the skills to enable our residents to thrive in our homes.

We also want to ensure our residents enjoy life outside of our homes is important to us and we offer a great variety of enrichment activities. They are a great way for residents to develop skills, have fun and socialise with other residents so we try to encourage as much participation as possible.

EDUCATION

Working together with local colleges and other educational organisations, we can offer residents a huge range of courses and training to suit their interests and passions. From cookery courses to developing IT skills, our teams are on hand to support and advise on the best path for each individual and ensure they are getting the most out of the course they choose.

EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE

We also offer lots of support for those looking for employment, whether it be voluntary or paid. Our skilled teams can help with creating CVs, cover letters and applications, whilst working with local employment agencies to find suitable opportunities.

ACTIVITIES

Our residents take part in a number of activities each week including swimming which takes place in a private pool with full disabled access and a fully qualified lifeguard. Trampolining at Summerfields Leisure centre twice a week. This activity is conducted by a qualified trampoline coach and enables those that participate to work toward gaining a variety of different certificates at different stages throughout.

Our residents also join in with drama, which is an ideal opportunity to bring out the budding actor/actress in everyone, before putting on a yearly performance to family and friends.
